WordPress Theme Quality: Gutenberg Blocks, Interactive Components & More
Editable Gutenberg blocks, FAQ accordions, carousels, dropdown menus, pixel-perfect layouts, and PHP 8 compatibility — the themes Yotako generates just got a major quality upgrade.
The quality of WordPress themes generated by Yotako has taken a big leap forward. Whether you're building client sites or your own projects, these improvements mean less manual tweaking and more time saved.
Gutenberg Block Support with Editing
Generated themes now register proper Gutenberg blocks that are fully editable in the WordPress block editor. This means your clients (or you) can update text, swap images, and adjust content directly in the familiar WordPress editor — no code required.
Interactive Components
Yotako now recognizes and generates functional interactive components:
- FAQ Accordions — Click to expand/collapse, just like you designed them in Figma
- Carousels — Image and content sliders that work out of the box
- Dropdown Menus — Navigation dropdowns that function on hover and click
These aren't static mockups — they're real, working WordPress modules generated directly from your Figma design.
Pixel-Perfect Layouts
We've fixed a series of layout precision issues:
- Rotation is now correctly applied to elements
- Flex-shrink support ensures elements resize properly in flex containers
- Gap property handling for precise spacing between flex children
- Negative spacing support for overlapping design elements
The gap between your Figma design and the generated theme has never been smaller.
Better Shadows
Box shadows now support the spread radius property. If your Figma design uses shadows with spread, they'll render correctly in the WordPress theme — no more flat-looking cards and panels.
Cyrillic Support
For teams working with non-Latin content, we've added proper slug generation for Cyrillic text. Page URLs and identifiers are now generated correctly regardless of the language used in your designs.
PHP 8 Compatibility
All generated themes are now fully compatible with PHP 8.x. If your hosting environment runs the latest PHP versions, your Yotako themes will work without deprecation warnings or errors.
Flip Support
Horizontally and vertically flipped elements in Figma now render correctly in the generated theme. Mirror effects, flipped icons, and reversed layouts all come through as expected.
Hyperlinks on Any Element
Previously, hyperlinks could only be applied to text elements. Now, any node type — images, shapes, groups, containers — can carry hyperlinks. If you've linked a card or button group in Figma, that link will be preserved in WordPress.
These quality improvements are live now and apply to all new conversions. If you've converted a design before, try converting it again — you might be pleasantly surprised by the difference.
